Job description

Duties may include: Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools, sell and deliver plants and flowers to customers, dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs, move shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows, tractors or loaders. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds, set up, operate, and maintain irrigation system, haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, soil, mulch and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels, & other related Nursery Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to insurance. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
