Job description

Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, wheeled and tracked tractors with various implements, equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, plows, disc, tiller, planter, drills, conveyor loader, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, skid steer, and track-hoes. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. Manual duties include but are not limited to loading seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; attached and detaching implements from tractors; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, the Tim King Farms' H-2A housing, and all farm equipment; lubricating all equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, or repetitive movements.
