Job description
Work under the direction of the Crew Leader or Lead to install landscape materials at customer sites; install trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, decorative rock, containers, landscape mulch and plastic edging using manual hand tools; load and unload trucks with retail products, related hard goods and equipment at customer site and landscape distribution center; organize products; operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws; haul or spread topsoil, or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. May drive crew to and from customer locations. Perform job duties at projects in the Twin Cities and surrounding counties. May perform other job duties pursuant to 37-3011, Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers.
Special Requirements
Requires three months experience in landscape and hardscape installation. Must be able to: obtain Class D drivers license within 30 days of employment; work on feet; wheel a wheelbarrow with a minimum of 3 cubic ft. of rock or soil; lift 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. often; and ride in trucks to job site. Saturday work required when necessary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
