Job description

Nine (9) temporary full-time positions are available for Ground Persons to begin working April 1, 2025 with work continuing through December 1, 2025, with 40 hours work provided weekly at day shift from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday at $17.85 or higher per hour, with optional overtime offered regularly at $26.78 or higher per hour.

No education or prior experience or training are required, including no on-the-job training needed. Clear instructions are provided on the job by crew leaders.

Ground Person duties include ground-level pruning and trimming at ground level. Ground Persons provide support to an arborist crew in tree removal by collecting and hauling debris all at ground level, and loading and unloading vehicles.

Duties also include raking and shoveling and chipping and mulching and cleanup. Ground Persons can observe for any tree or shrub problem and notify crew leaders. The position is entry-level. Ground Persons attend a daily Safety Briefing.
