Job description

Load/unload truck with emulsified asphalt sealer in the yard. Add appropriate amount of sand and water. Identify area in parking lot to be sealcoated. Block off area with cones and ribbon tape. Thoroughly clean asphalt by sweeping and/or blower. Apply one coat of emulsified asphalt sealer to asphalt by squeegee and/or spray wand and second coat of emulsified asphalt sealer. Handle hot mix asphalt and other construction material, shoveling, raking, smoothing, leveling, and setting of asphalt on driveways, roads, pathways and parking lots, etc.; Perform cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment to complete daily tasks such as; cleaning, greasing and maintaining fluid levels on equipment (includes but not limited to shovels, rakes, loots, etc.), safely operate a variety of tools including, but not limited to, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, torches, Platetamps, walk behind blowers, tractor brooms, etc; to complete assigned jobs using skid steer, asphalt paver, roller, thoroughly understand all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, work outdoors in changing weather conditions, around hot asphalt and asphalt paving equipment, complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, with high standards for quality and safety. Entry level; Required supervision.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire random and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
