Job description
The paving laborer position is responsible for assisting with the pouring, smoothing, and setting of blacktop and asphalt on roads, pathways, and in parking lots. They will also rake, sweep, and line out the roads and parking lots, as well as work alongside tractors, mills, pavers, and screeds. Additionally, paver laborers help prepare pavement saws and measure lines and cleanup daily, offload trucks and gather tools, shovel, rake, and sweep general surfaces, operate wheelbarrows on blacktop and stone, maintain the cleanliness of equipment and worksites, and occasionally flag or direct traffic near working crews.
Special Requirements
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 40LBS. WORK OUTDOORS IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. HOURS MAY VARY BASED ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WORK REQUIRED, WHEN NECESSARY.
