Job description
Tennis Professional will be responsible for assisting the Director of Tennis in overseeing facilities and coordinating activities related to the tennis and pickleball program at Hollywood Golf Club and ensuring all policies, procedures, and standards are followed. Specifically, the Tennis Professional will provide group and individual tennis lessons as assigned by the Director of Tennis; assist with planning and coordinating special tennis and pickleball events; record court reservations and lesson appointments; string tennis racquets and maintain proper records of completed re-strings; assist with minor and routine tennis court maintenance; coordinate and implement adult leagues, junior leagues, and the junior tennis instructional program; assist in coaching U.S. Tennis Association teams for league play; assist with recordkeeping and end-of-month billing in connection with lessons; assist in promoting lessons, events, and programs through social media or by phone; maintain cleanliness of facilities and courts; and ensure all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention. May also assist by performing retail duties in the tennis shop, perform basic sales accounting duties, and closing of the point-of-sale system.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Shifts: 9:00am-5:00pm, 7:00am-3:00pm and 11:00am-7:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Working “split-shifts” and shifts which may exceed 12 hours duration. Working more than seven consecutive days.

Special Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least a minimum of one (1) year of experience of teaching tennis. USPTA or ITF Level 1 Certification (If not certified, must take and pass test within first six months of employment).
