Job description
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers must be able to perform a variety of tasks without close supervision, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, mulching, hand weeding, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units and/or sprinkler systems. May also clear land in preparation of landscaping projects. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but position does not include supervision of other workers. Will be on either 4 day or 5 day work schedule pending division assignment. 4 day schedule 7:00 AM- 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday, Friday/Saturday work required, when necessary. 5 day schedule 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Special Requirements
Requires three months of previous landscape experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
