Job description
COOK. PREPARE, SEASON, AND COOK DISHES SUCH AS SOUPS, MEATS, VEGETABLES, OR DESSERTS IN RESTAURANTS. INSPECT AND CLEAN FOOD PREPARATION
AREAS, SUCH AS EQUIPMENT AND WORK SURFACES, OR SERVING AREAS TO ENSURE SAFE AND SANITARY FOOD-HANDLING PRACTICES. ENSURE FOOD IS STORED
AND COOKED AT CORRECT TEMPERATURE BY REGULATING TEMPERATURE OF OVENS, BROILERS, GRILLS, AND ROASTERS. ENSURE FRESHNESS OF FOOD AND
INGREDIENTS BY CHECKING FOR QUALITY, KEEPING TRACK OF OLD AND NEW ITEMS, AND ROTATING STOCK. TURN OR STIR FOODS TO ENSURE EVEN COOKING.
SEASON AND COOK FOOD ACCORDING TO RECIPES OR PERSONAL JUDGMENT AND EXPERIENCE. MAY ORDER SUPPLIES, KEEP RECORDS AND ACCOUNTS, PRICE
ITEMS ON MENU, OR PLANE EL MENU. MAINTAIN KITCHEN WORK AREAS, EQUIPMENT, OR UTENSILS IN CLEAN AND ORDERLY CONDITION. PLACE CLEAN DISHES,
UTENSILS, OR COOKING EQUIPMENT IN STORAGE AREAS. SORT AND REMOVE TRASH, PLACING IT IN DESIGNATED PICKUP AREAS. SWEEP OR SCRUB FLOORS. CLEAN
GARBAGE CANS WITH WATER OR STEAM. STOCK SUPPLIES, SUCH AS FOOD OR UTENSILS, IN SERVING STATIONS, CUPBOARDS, REFRIGERATORS, OR SALAD BARS.
CLEAN OR PREPARE VARIOUS FOODS FOR COOKING OR SERVING. TRANSFER SUPPLIES OR EQUIPMENT BETWEEN STORAGE AND WORK AREAS, BY HAND OR USING
HAND TRUCKS. WORKERS MAY BE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT TO RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTS AT NO COST TO THE WORKER. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE
REQUEST OR TESTING POSITIVE MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION. ALL TESTING WILL OCCUR POST-CONDITIONAL OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT AND IS NOT A
