Job description
Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment used in the production of hay, garlic and wild rice consisting of John Deere and Massey Ferguson equipment; maintain inventory, ordering materials as required; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; clean work areas; Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects; servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment; use of hand tools including pneumatics, electric, and manual tools; drive farm vehicle to get parts or to fields or shop to work on equipment. Must be able to speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate driver's license (regular, non-commercial driver's license) following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
