Job description
Operating self-propelled equipment that reaps, harvests, threshes, swathes, or winnows hay crops; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, and other tools; operating swathers, rakes, balers; transporting crops to barns, silos, or other storage areas, and transporting equipment and other tools used for harvesting from one field to another; cleaning work areas; maintaining grounds and landscaping. trapping pests to prevent damage to harvesting equipment and crops; attaching equipment using hand tools; speak and understand English. Employer will provide at no cost an effective means, such as radio transmitter, wireless device, or other types of electronic communication systems, of communicating with persons capable of helping in case of an emergency.
Special Requirements
Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
