Job description
General maintenance of the yard and field edges includes mowing, spraying, dragging and upkeep of the farm. Tracking weekly inventory of seed and chemical on hand. Hauling seed and chemical with pickup and trailer. Dumping grain trucks and monitoring bins during harvest. Obtaining parts, filing, organizing mail, entering data, monitor scale tickets, handle spray maps and records. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: clean work areas, guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, record information about crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, weigh containers and record weights and identifying information, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, soybeans, sunflowers, wheat. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 10 lbs.
