Job description
I am looking for experienced and temporary help in cultivating crops. This position will require workers to perform a wide range of activities including but not limited to carry 40 lb. bushels , picking, thinning, and pruning peaches and apples, tending to the orchards for proper
maintenance, other duties as assigned.
Workers will be picking apples and/or peaches
Pruning trees to allow proper growth of fruit
Getting rid of weeds that are harmful to fruit growth
Sorting apples and/or peaches in an appropriate container
Hand-thinning trees to allow fruit to grow optimally
Special Requirements
It is highly desirable that field workers have prior experience in agriculture work. Preferably in apple and peach orchards. The pay rate for field workers is set to the AEWR which is the highest rate among the prevailing hourly or piece rate and the agreed-upon collective bargaining wage. The rate is to be paid for every hour and portion thereof that work is performed. This rate is not based on commission, bonuses, or any other incentives.
