Job description

Friesen Hay Inc. operates a custom harvesting business in Texas. We work with wheat, haygrazer, corn, cotton, and sorghum. This includes but is not limited to swathing, raking, baling, stacking and transporting. The regular harvest season starts in March and ends in December or when all the crops are out of the field. January is spent cleaning and storing equipment for the upcoming season. Job duties include but are not limited to operate self-propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of crops, adjust speed of cutters, conveyors, and height of cutting head using hand tools, change cutting head as appropriate for crops, service machinery and make in-field repairs, transport crops to storage facilities, and general farm duties such as facility upkeep and workshop work. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire.
