Job description

Job requires operating custom harvesting machines to harvest a variety of crops, changing cutting heads as appropriate for crop, performing mechanical repair and maintenance on custom harvesting machinery, regularly cleaning, and servicing equipment. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities.

Job also requires the operation of large farm equipment to till soil, plant and harvest the crops on the employer's farm. No duties other than the custom harvesting duties listed previously will be performed on other fixed-site growers' operations. Job will require performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer. Radios will be provided, without charge or deposit, in each work vehicle. These radios will allow workers to communicate with persons capable of responding to the workers' needs in case of an emergency.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive sitting or walking.
