Job description

Handling of crops such as dumping trucks of ear corn, husking and bagging; Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as forklift, grain cart, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, soybeans; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Print, hang, sew bags; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Monitor stacking machine, place pallets; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; Speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
