Job description
Drives and operates farm machinery such as mowers, balers, tractors, and composting machinery used in planting and harvesting "all-natural" crops for animal feed. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Ability to repair fences and farm buildings. Foaling is typically April through June with the last trimester requiring additional nutrients. This involves increased feeding of concentrates (grains.) Specific duties are significant for this time period because the horses are primarily pasture fed (grazing) in addition to customized grain mixes and hay produced on the farm. The feeding and care depend on the breed and age of each mare during this critical time. It is approximately during this time period (foaling is seasonal) that we require an additional job opportunity to be filled.
Special Requirements
To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license (class D) within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable driving record.
