Job description
Workers needed to work both inside nursery and outside in weather elements. Will work with shrubs and small trees. Duties include cultivating soil, propagating, transplanting products to prepared fields and harvesting when applicable. Ball and burlap trees will be harvested, wrapped, and transported as instructed. Must perform duties to care for all varieties and sizes of plants and trees such as weeding, pruning, mulching, raking, irrigating, fertilizing and other misc duties as instructed by supervisor. Will use trucks or wagons to transport products to appropriate fields/areas. Harvest and prepare products for market at supervisors instruction. Will load/unload trucks. Able to operate farm equipment such as tractors, small power tools and hand tools. Perform misc activities including clearing fence rows, mowing and other ground maintenance, maintaining farm buildings and greenhouse/nursery structures, sowing cover crops and other misc activities as instructed by employer. Tools must be kept clean and in working condition. Worksite must be cleaned daily.
