Job description
Operating self-propelled equipment that assists with reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing, or winnowing grain, hay, oilseed, fiber crops; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing farm structures, equipment and other tools in the course of harvesting crops; driving truck or tractor with trailer or cart attached for transporting crops, equipment tools, or other materials to elevators, silos, gin yard, storage areas, and from one field to another; attaching equipment using hand tools; weighing contains and recording weights.
Electronic Communication: Employer will provide at no cost an effective means, such as radio transmitter, wireless device, or other types of electronic communication systems, of communicating with persons capable of helping in case of an emergency.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
