Job description
Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery; Operate or tend self-propelled equipment and implements much of which are equipped with GPS and used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, tractor, sprayer, etc. for duties such as fertilizing, planting, spraying, weeding, harvesting, storing crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans, silage; Adjust and ready farm machinery and equipment; Clean work areas; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
