Supervisor / Driver

Job description

Supervisor / bus driver will pick up workers, take them to worksite, supervise workers, and drive them back to their housing. They will also assist with simple daily vehicle maintenance checks (DOT pre-trip inspections), timekeeping, filling water jugs with drinking water for the workers each morning and ensuring field sanitation measures are maintained throughout the day. Other duties may include loading/unloading jalapeno and bell peppers, installation/maintenance of drip tape irrigation, pruning, scanning, cutting/trimming, weeding, pulling plastic/drip-tape, and general farm labor. The supervisor will take workers once a week to the grocery store and to the laundry mat. Must have or be able to obtain immediately a federal and state farm labor contractor license. Background check and random drug testing will be post hire at employer's expense.

Any crew leader (farm labor contractor) employed under this job order must have a valid state and federal Farm Labor Contractor Certificate of Registration and must abide by all the requirements of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA). The employer understands that they are responsible for assuring that all conditions of this agreement are met regardless of any acts or omissions of the crew leader.
