Job description
Workers will operate various types of grain, corn, soybean, and silage planting and harvesting equipment to include but not be limited to swathers, balers, rakes, bale wagons, and tractors up to 600 hp, tractor implements, and fertilizer buggies. Workers will be responsible for general maintenance of the harvest and irrigation equipment which involves greasing equipment and checking engine fluids daily. Workers may make repairs to small equipment and center pivot irrigation system as needed. Equipment operators are expected to maintain good equipment and maintenance records. Good safety skills of operating the equipment are mandatory. Workers may be asked from time to time to work in other areas of the ranch, performing repairs, maintenance and general farm duties. Workers must have 3 months of experience operating 600 hp tractors or greater. During harvest season, workers can expect to work 6 days a week and up to 70 hours a week.

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
