Job description

Job duties include fence maintenance/repair; feed livestock; cut hay; tractor and equipment driving; field prep; water maintenance; manual shovel work; irrigation ditch work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair/maintain equipment, farm and fences; maintain fields, roads and shop; load/unload trucks; repair/maintain barn, corrals, equipment, farm, fences, fields, pastures, roads, shed shop and water troughs; job involves frequent stooping and exposure to extreme temps. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks.  The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Minimum three months experience in similar occupation. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; 1 hour unpaid lunch included in daily schedule; overtime hours are usually offered during the season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience. Employer will abide by all of Colorado's agricultural laws to include Senate Bill 21-087 ("SB87") and the Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Order (COMPS order).
Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
The employer will provide transportation to town for personal errands at least once per week for non-range workers, and at least once every 3 weeks for range workers per SB87.

Debe ser capaz de levantar/cargar suficiente peso (aproximadamente 50 libras) para mover el equipo y el material necesario para completar las tareas asignadas.  El Empleador se basará en las declaraciones de los propios trabajadores y en sus observaciones para evaluar si los trabajadores cumplen esta cualificación. Experiencia mínima de tres meses en ocupación similar. El horario base ofrecido es de 40 horas; se incluye 1 hora de comida no remunerada en el horario diario; normalmente se ofrecen horas extra durante la temporada y pueden incluir entre 10 y 40 horas adicionales de trabajo extra dependiendo de la naturaleza de la temporada; se puede pagar un salario más alto en función de la experiencia.
