Job description

This job requires 3 months of operating and maintaining conveyor systems by the worker.

Crops: Cherries

This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of Polehn Farms. Conveyor Operators and Tenders must have a general knowledge of standard maintenance and operational procedures for optical sorters. Specific knowledge of Pearl Sort Technology is a plus. Additionally, a general knowledge and willingness to learn USDA and Oregon grading standards for fresh cherries.

Special Requirements

1.Worker must possess 3 months of operation and maintenance of conveyor systems, as well as safety protocols and procedures.
4e) Must be able to lift and/ load 25lbs
4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools
4h) May require worker to limb stairs repeatedly
4i) Workers will be required frequent twisting, bending, stooping and reaching
4j) There will be repetitive movements while operating the conveyor line.
