Job description

Performs general labor including loading, unloading, installing and breakdown of equipment for outdoor tented events. Workers will not drive delivery trucks but will help installers and crew leaders with the delivery, set-up, removal, and storage of event tents and equipment. Event equipment includes, but not limited to, wooden perimeter and center poles, canvas tops, wood flooring (4’x8’ panels), aluminum poles of varying lengths, and tarps. Moves event tents and equipment or other materials to and from storage or event production areas, loading docks, and delivery trucks by hand or using wheeled carts, trucks, forklifts or other loading equipment. Helps unload, clean, and shelve event tents and equipment in the warehouse.

The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Normal shift Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Shift included 30 minute unpaid lunch. Work on Saturday and Sunday may be required as necessary. Workdays, hours and shift time may vary depending on weather conditions/business needs.

Basic wage rate: $20.73 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure.

Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $31.10 per hour.

The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly on Thursday.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 75 lbs., and push 100 lbs.
Must be able bend, squat, climb, crawl, kneel, crouch and lift frequently.
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally in English.
Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Must be willing and able to work a 6-day schedule when necessary.
Schedule requires long daily shifts, including weekends and holidays, and occasional overnight travel.
Required uniform and safety equipment provided at no charge to the worker.
