Job description

We are a 6000 acre row crop farming operation. We primarily grow corn and soybeans utilizing pivot irrigation. Our equipment primarily consists of late model equipment comprising of both John Deere and Claas machines. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work
areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, soybeans, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
