Farm Worker

Job description

Workers will be picking/harvesting Vidalia Sweet onions, squash, sweet corn, peppers, and watermelon according to size, ripeness, shape, and maturity level. Other duties may include but are not limited to packaging, grading, setting plastic sheeting, pulling weeds, and other necessary field and crop maintenance operations.

Workers must have good hand and eye coordination. They must also be available to work for the entire duration of the contract.
Wage will be piece rate for Onions, Corn, Squash, peppers and hourly for Watermelon.
peppers- $0.73 per bucket
Squash- $0.98 per bucket
Corn- $0.80 per box
Onions- $0.55 per bucket
all with a minimum wage guarantee of $16.08 per hour

Special Requirements

Workers must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions, including heat and rain.
