Job description
Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Drive and operate farm machinery to store grain crops. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Maintain farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.Crops: Grain
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
