Job description

***RFI Response***
The workers will be doing traditional hardscaping duties including: Supply and place base materials, edge restraints, bedding sand and jointing sand. Set pavers, aligning and spacing them correctly. Sweep sand into the joints with brooms and compact pavement with tampers until the joints are full. Screed sand level to an even thickness, and recheck sand exposed to elements, raking and re-screeding if necessary. Cut paving stones to size and for edges, using a splitter and a masonry saw. Compact bedding sand and pavers to finish the paved area, using a plate compactor. Sweep sand from the surface prior to opening to traffic. These duties are done primarily for commercial hardscaping projects, though residential projects are taken on occasion.

Workers will perform a variety of general labor tasks associated with hardscaping, including but not limited to: screeding sand, shoveling, moving materials throughout the worksite, and assisting skilled laborers with hardscaping tasks.

Special Requirements

Requires three months of paver installer experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid post-hire random drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Post-hire employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
