Job description
Workers will be required to operate self-propelled agriculture crop spraying equipment during peak growing season. Workers will measure, mix, and load liquid and dry products according to specifications for crop application. Workers will be required to operate pumps, valves, and other plumbing components to control the flow of liquid product and/or water. Workers will handle and load dry chemical/fertilizer products with forklifts on to and from semi trailers and sprayer equipment. Workers will also be required to handle and transport liquid agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and water to and from employer-owned/leased farms and storage facilities. Workers will handle/haul non-liquid agricultural products such as fertilizer, seed, grains, and other agricultural commodities. Equipment operated may include: tractors, pickups, semi-trucks, tractors, and other farm equipment. Please see ETA 790 Addendum for more details.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months experience operating farm crop spraying equipment is required. Three (3) months experience operating full size semi tractors is required. Commercial Drivers License or foreign equivalent is required. Workers will be terminated if they are deemed unable to safely operate heavy farm equipment. Must be able to follow detailed biosecurity protocol as well as follow safety protocols and work together to maintain a safe working environment. Post-employment drug test is paid for by employer when applicable for safety purposes. Workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds for 75 yards.
