Job description
Workers will help with installing equipment for livestock confinement systems on farms, utilizing hand and power tools to install, replace, and adjusting machinery, equipment, parts, and instruments. They will conduct thorough examinations and testing to ensure proper functioning and safe operation of machinery and equipment. Tasks also include diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, positioning structures and objects for installation, and transferring tools and supplies to and from workstations and other areas. Additionally, they apply protective materials to prevent defects and corrosion and assemble and maintain physical structures. Once operational, workers may also stock the site with swine and perform general care duties associated with livestock confinement, including receiving and unloading swine into the appropriate locations within the confinement. Additionally, workers will perform examination and testing of machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning once livestock are in the building. Special Requirements
Three (3) months of experience installing equipment in livestock confinements is required. Welding experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 75 pounds for 75 yards. Post-employment drug test paid for by employer when applicable.
