Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Detassel corn and Rogueing Corn: Worker will walk down the aisles between the plants in the corn fields, for the purpose of detasseling seed corn, remove rogue plants and weeds. The worker in order to perform this kind of work must be able to walk miles per day while pulling the tassel from each corn. The workers must be able to work long hours, at least 6 hours per day in all kinds of weather conditions: hot humid weather, rain and exposed to pollen the whole day. This is a very demanding and competitive business in which specifications must be rigorously adhered to. Anticipated days and hours of work may very due to weather conditions. Workers will perform the majority of tasks standing in the upright position and can expect to stand on their feet for extended periods of time.

Los trabajadores llevaran a cabo las tareas asignadas segun las instrucciones de su supervisor. Desespigar el Maiz y quitar las plantas de Maiz en mal estado: El trabajador debe caminar por los pasillos entre las plantas en los campos de maiz, con el propsito de desespigar el maiz, eliminar plantas que no esten en buen estado y desyerbar. Con el fin de llevar a cabo este tipo de trabajo el trabajador tiene que ser capaz de caminar varias millas por dia mientras remueve la espiga de cada planta de maiz. Los trabajadores debe ser capaz de trabajar largas horas, al menos 6 horas al dia en todo tipo de clima: clima calido y humedo, con lluvia y expuesto al polen todo el dia. Este es trabajo es muy exigente y competitivo en el cual las especificaciones de calidad deben ser respetadas rigurosamente. Las horas y dias de trabajo anticipadas pueden variar dependiendo de las condiciones del clima. Los trabajadores llevaran a cabo la mayoria de los trabajos de pie en posición vertical y deben esperar mantenerse de pie por periodos prolongados.

Special Requirements

Use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited during work time or during any workday before work is completed for the day (such as during meals). Workers may not report for work under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs. Illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages may not be used or kept on any employer premises, including housing at any time. Being under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs will be cause for immediate termination.

El uso de bebidas alcoholicas o drogas ilegales esta estrictamente prohibido durante horas de trabajo o cualquier otro dia antes de terminar el trabajo (como en horas de comida). Los trabajadores no deberan presentarse al trabajo bajo la influencia de bebidas alcoholicas o drogas ilegales. No deben usarse ni poseerse drogas ilegales dentro de la propiedad del empleador, incluyendo el alojamiento, en ningun momento. Estar bajo la influencia de bebidas alcoholicas o drogas ilegales sera causa de terminacion inmediata.
