Truck Driver

Job description

This position involves operating heavy trucks and semi-trailers (Volvo and Kenworth hauling at least 80,000 lbs pulling a hopper bottom) to transport crops, feed, and occasionally livestock. Responsibilities include loading and unloading cargo, driving between feed mill operations and farms within a 100-mile radius, and ensuring that trucks and related equipment are clean and well-maintained. Drivers must inspect trailers before and after each trip, report any defects, and properly secure all cargo using ropes, chains, blocks, or covers. Adherence to all traffic laws is required.

The role demands physical activity, including frequent use of arms and legs and full-body movements such as balancing, walking, stooping, lifting, and pulling.

Special Requirements

Worker must have a CDL license, and be in good health to perform labor activities, no limitation to bend down or carry weight (under regulated laws or norms of weight and safety procedures), and have no limitation on extensive standing, sitting, walking pushing, or pulling.
