Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091.00, Agricultural Equipment Operators.

Duties will include:
Adjust, repair, maintain, service, set up and disassemble potato production equipment. This includes harvesters, planters, sprayers, seed cutters, conveyors, and other washline equipment.
Observe and listen to potato production machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
Operate farm equipment to troubleshoot issues and ensure that it is ready for use.
Calibrate equipment as necessary.
Record parts information and inventory of parts used.
Record maintenance being conducted.
Perform safety checks on farm equipment.
Speak and understand English.
General farm work is included.
Full time supervision is provided and all tools are provided at no cost.
Workers must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and work in extreme temperatures.
Lifting objects up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and stooping regularly will be required.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required operating and maintaining potato related equipment in order to perform the job duties listed.
