Job description

Drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities such as tilling soil/planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops; feeding and herding livestock; or removing animal waste. Perform accurate planting/spraying/fertilizing/irrigation needs for the field (hay, silage, corn) and maximize the yields of crop off of each field. Harvest materials timely to get optimal quality/yield per acre. Perform mechanical upkeep on planting and harvesting equipment. Report and record all supplies needed for crop inputs and outputs. Operate the scale and verify scale tickets. Answer the phone, and backup to cook when absent. Process and/or treat cattle according to established procedures. Provide the best care for all cattle. Assist in all aspects of animal health. Provide accurate rations distributed to the cattle. Provide care/service to the feed loader.

The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and weekends required depending on the crops and weather.

Special Requirements

With respect to the job-related reason for the Driver Requirements, in order to perform the planting / spraying / fertilizing / irrigation and harvesting related job duties set forth in Section A.8.a of the Form ETA-790A, the person in the position must possess a license authorizing the operation of farm husbandry equipment, in accordance with Nebraska law.
