Job description

Assistance with the following livestock duties: General/fall-winter prep maintenance/repair of all equipment, fence and property. Assistance with all the following livestock duties: Calving, ear tagging, processing, daily doctoring, breaking ice, winter prep of all waterers, feeding supplements/hay, movement from pens/pastures, load/sort, assess cattle health/well-being. Must have ability to drive/operate hydraulic squeeze chute, dart gun, tagging machine, ATV, feed truck, tractor/loader, to fill feed truck and put out hay to livestock, and pickup, to pull trailer and to obtain parts and supplies. Must be able to perform daily repairs, cleaning and maintenance of location, equipment, machinery, buildings and fences as instructed. Employer may request, but cannot require, workers to work on their Sabbath; however, may request evening/weekend work. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as livestock or need. ( as applicable) Employer may pay workers more depending on how many years of experience they have or other factors such as job performance, skill, punctuality.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
