Job description
On a farm, workers will assist in manure application, cultivation, fertilization, harvesting, plowing, and hauling of crops for silage of dairy cows, which include corn, sorghum, wheat, triticale, tifton and bermudagrass. Workers will provide assistance in the planting, harvesting and cultivation aspects of over 5,000 acres of crops. Workers may also perform basic farm equipment maintenance for harvesting these crops. Job duties include operating tractors, high horsepower forage harvesters, semi-trucks and other machinery to assist with harvesting of these crops, which is all owned by the farm. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. 3 months experience of driving and operating farm equipment.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. Minimum three (3) months experience. General farm labor experience including heavy farm equipment and machinery operation preferred.
