Job description

Workers will perform planting, cultivation, harvesting, and packing of various fruits and vegetables including but not limited to tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, cucumbers, melons, strawberries, lettuce, and leafy greens. Duties include soil preparation, transplanting, irrigation, weeding, pruning, trellising, fertilizing, thinning, and general crop maintenance. During harvest, workers will pick, sort, wash, pack, and load produce into containers or trucks.

All weeding, thinning, or similar tasks will be conducted using long-handled tools in accordance with 8 CCR §§ 3437 and 3456. Workers will not perform these tasks in stooped, kneeling, or squatting positions except for occasional or incidental tasks totaling less than 20% of weekly work time. Workers will be provided gloves, knee pads, and all required rest periods in compliance with California regulations.

Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat or cold, and may involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Workers must follow all safety and food handling protocols. Employer provides tools, protective equipment, and training at no cost.

Job requires punctuality, attention to detail, and ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team environment. Work will be conducted at various field locations within the county.

Special Requirements

Workers must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend frequently, and work in varying weather conditions. No additional education, training, or certifications are required. All necessary tools and protective gear will be provided.
