Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operate various equipment (combines, farm tractors, farm trucks, etc.) for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing and harvesting of crops. Hauling lime fertilizer. Operate equipment using modern technology. Maintain flood and sprinkler irrigation systems. Grain handling, hauling farm commodities. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Other miscellaneous duties assigned.

Crops: wheat, rye grass, soybeans, sugar beets.

Overtime Pay: As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.

Special Requirements

Valid driver's license, clean MVR, employment reference.

Must communicate in English while on the job. Failure to comply may result in termination or being sent home for the remainder of the day with no pay.
