Job description
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Work with many different types of farm machinery for preparing and loading feed. Loading and unloading trailers from on top or down below with correct feed. Use a forklift ad pallet jack. Adheres to the cleaning schedule. Walks on catwalks and up on top of the elevator and climb ladders as needed. Perform all activities required to complete daily checklist. Worker will the exposed to many different types of organic grain dust temperature swings. Feed may be bagged or bulk. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines. Maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery. Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products. Remove and close full containers. Record information about crops. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, forklift, packaging equipment, pickups, cars, etc, skid steers, straight frame trucks, feed mill. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, wheat, livestock feed. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
