Job description
Manually use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms for duties such as auguring grain, scooping grain, turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products including corn, rice, soybeans, hay, mixed grain into trucks without over or under filling and drive trucks to market or storage facilities; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, self-propelled machinery to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Operate, repair irrigation; Attach equipment; Attend to farm animals; Repair and maintain machinery and equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment; Clean work areas and maintain grounds. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
