Job description

Crops: Amaryllis, Annuals, Asparagus, Berries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Citrus, Flowers, Grapes, Lemons, Limes, Onions, Perennials, Potatoes, Sweet potatoes, Tulips

• Pack or package by hand a wide variety of products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
• Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks.
• Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes.
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Prune assigned crops as required to support healthy growth and production

Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise.

Special Requirements

Workers must have at least 3 months of experience in verifiable agricultural work. Specific requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds.

All new employees are subject to a post-hire, employer-paid drug test. Any employee who declines to take or fails this drug test will be terminated and paid for all hours worked, if any.

Employer also reserves the right to conduct employer-paid post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
