Job description
Load or unload trucks or help others with loading or unloading, using special loading-related
equipment or other equipment as necessary. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons,
including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other
materials. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Report
any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies
and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in
proper working condition. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Maintain records,
such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
Use and maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, such as weighing or
measuring devices.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed
to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime
and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30
days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. W
