Job description

Temporary, seasonal farmworkers needed for cattle farm in Louisiana. Job duties include calving and caring for newborn livestock; branding and vaccinating; rotating and maintaining pastures; harvesting and storing hay; weaning and sorting cattle; feeding and monitoring the herd, especially during dry or adverse weather; mending fences; preparing pastures for grazing. Travel is required to multiple ranch and pasture locations throughout Acadia, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis Parishes in Southwest Louisiana. All travel occurs within normal working hours and does not require overnight stays. Workers are expected to work in outdoor environments across rural terrain, sometimes in variable weather conditions, depending on pasture location and ranch needs.

Special Requirements

Both the criminal background check and drug screen will be performed post-hire and at the Employer's expense.

Worker must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50-75 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification.
