Job description

Grain farm general knowledge. They will be required to deliver grain to the elevators driving semi's. They will be responsible for general maintenance and servicing all grain handling equipment. Will be needed to operate tractors hauling a load seed wagon. Job duties include and are not limited to: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as sprayer, combine, planter, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Must be able to speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
