Job description
Job requires the preparation of shell-stock for shucking by culling and washing; lift 50+ sacks of oysters may be necessary at times. Shuckers help unload sacks from transport and load said sacks to prep areas. Shuckers will remove one or both shells from the oysters, and cut the oyster's muscle that is attached to the shell and remove the oyster from the shell, hoist oysters onto washer, sort, weigh, pack, label, palletize, and store. Shuckers will maintain work area clean and free of contaminants.
Special Requirements
May need to lift sacks of oysters weighing up to 50 pounds.
