Job description
Temporary full-time positions in Lakeland, LA with Alma Plantation, LLC during Louisiana Sugar Harvest and Repair Season. Assists in making repairs, installations, and maintenance on various machinery used in the processing of sugar during harvest season. Supply workers with tools. Maintain clean work areas and sugar processing equipment. Assist in calibration of machinery. Overtime hours will vary. During Harvest, Shift work: will be required to work various 8 hour shifts (7AM to 3PM; 3PM 11PM; 11PM-7AM. During downseason: 7:00AM to 4:00PM. Must be willing to work overtime. Must be willing to work 7 days per week. Optional on-site lodging offered to each temporary seasonal employee hired in the position at no cost to the worker. As applicable, daily transportation to and from worksite will be provided by employer. No minimum education required. No on-the-job training provided. Three (3) months employment experience in job offered in a raw sugar mill is required.
