Temporary Seafood Plant Workers

Job description

Dulac Oyster & Seafood LLC is seeking forty (40) temporary plant workers to support operations at our oyster processing facility located at 4310 Grand Caillou Road, Houma, LA 70363 in Terrebonne County. Starting October 1, 2025, to June 1, 2026. Workers will work 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule. Shifts may be scheduled Monday through Friday (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to10:00 PM, or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) and Saturdays for 5 hours (6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM, or 2:00 AM to7:00 AM). Paid weekly.

Special Requirements

Required (3) months of work-related experience; no education; work on a rotating schedule (see schedule below) and endure working in a cold and wet work environment.

Workers will work 40 hours a week on a rotating schedule (Monday to Friday) (Shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM,
or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) 7 hours and Saturday 5 hours (Shifts: 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM or 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM or 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM)

Workers must be able to stand to perform work duties.

All hired workers will be required to complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification as required by federal law. Work is performed in cold, wet, and humid conditions. Workers must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including waterproof gloves, boots, and uniforms, which will be provided at no cost.
