Job description
Duties may vary from time to time. Crops to be harvested: rice, soybeans, corn, and wheat. Workers will
be required to operate agricultural equipment for the purposes removing poly pipe and levee
gates from fields, tearing down levees, and other necessary preparations for the harvest of
crops. They will also be required to operate tractors with the necessary farm implements (i.e.,
grain cart), as well as combines during the fall harvest season. Workers will help with the
unloading of grain into bins, as well as loading trucks who will be hauling grain, as well as
shoveling and cleaning in and around bins. Miscellaneous duties in and around the shop,
which may require the operation of fork lifts, backhoes, skid steers, and other small industrial
vehicles. A basic working knowledge of farm implement maintenance is preferred, with the
ability to perform these duties as needed, in a field or shop setting, with little to no supervision.
Special Requirements
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor. Applicants must be 18 years or older. Minimum of 3 months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. Must be able to lift 75lbs. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to the workers. General Specifications and Physical Requirements of the Job Work requires repetitive movements, and the majority of time is spent on ones feet. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Proper work attire is required. A copy of the work contract or a copy of the ETA 790 in lieu of a work contract, and any modifications, will be provided to the worker on the day the work commences.
