Job description

Employees will operate equipment with towed feeder wagon implements designated for feeding cattle. They will observe cattle for sicknesses and treat them if needed. They will grind feed, vaccinate, brand, and tag the ears of the animals. Assist with calving the herd and care for newborns. Check pens for water, cleanliness, and health conditions of the animals. They will grind feed, vaccinate, brand, and tag the ears of the animals.
Fixing and mending existing fences, routine maintenance will need to be done on machinery, grounds, and structures.
Must be able to work independently after being given instructions.
Employees must speak, read, write, and understand English for record-keeping and safety reasons.
Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
Must have a current driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Workers must have three months of tractor driving with computerized monitors experience and cattle experience. Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

Special Requirements

Must have a current and insurable drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Must be able to speak, understand and read English for daily record keeping and safety reasons.

No smoking in vehicles, equipment, or housing.
No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
Must be capable of lifting 60 lbs.
No education level is required.
